Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese have teamed up to executive produce a new HBO series about the New York City music business in the 1970s. According to Deadline, the network recently ordered a pilot from the show, which will be run by Boardwalk Empire creator and The Sopranos writer Terrence Winter. The publication also reports that Scorsese directed the pilot for the currently untitled series.

The show will feature Boardwalk Empire’s Bobby Cannavale as a record executive who is looking for a new sound to help resurrect his label just as the punk and disco scenes begin to take hold. Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano and Jumo Temple will co-star in the show, which is also set to include Andrew Dice Dice Clay, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella and more.

In related news, Scorsese also recently confirmed that he is co-producing a comprehensive documentary on the Grateful Dead.
