The Grammys announced the nominees for the 57th annual awards ceremony, slated for February 8 in Los Angeles. Among the notable nominees so far are sister act HAIM, which will go up against pop superstars Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Bastille and Brandy Clark for Best New Artist.

In the rock category, Ryan Adams, Beck, The Black Keys, Tom Petty and U2 will all face off for Best Rock Album. Among the nominees for Best Rock Song are Paramore’s “Ain’t It Fun,” Beck’s “Blue Moon,” “Fever” by The Black Keys, “Gimme Something Good” by Ryan Adams and Jack White’s “Lazaretto.”

Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig took to Twitter to announce the nominees for Best Alternative Album. Nominees included Alt-J’s This is All Yours, Arcade Fire’s Reflektor, Cage the Elephant’s Melophobia, St. Vincent’s self-titled effort and Jack White’s Lazaretto.
