Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Ringo Starr, Bill Withers, Green Day, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and The “5” Royales will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. Starr, who was previously inducted as a member of The Beatles, will be the last member of the legendary foursome to be inducted as a solo artist. The drummer will also receive the Hall’s Award for Musical Excellence, while The “5” Royales will be given the Early Influencer Award. The 2015 ceremony will also mark Reed’s second induction into the Hall, as The Velvet Underground was inducted in 1996.

The 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at Cleveland’s Public Hall on April 18, 2015. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Thursday, December 18, though there is currently no word on which of the inductees will be performing.
