Widespread Panic got some help from Randall Bramblett & The Megablasters last night as they kicked of their New Year’s Eve run with a Tunes for Tots benefit show at The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. The horns first came out during the second half of set one, when they took the stage for “Mercy,” “Fishwater,” a take on The Band’s “Ophelia” and “Bust It Big.” The guests then returned for a second set “Up All Night” before helping to close out the show with encore takes on Howlin’ Wolf’s “Tail Dragger” and Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime.”

Widespread Panic will ring in the New Year tonight at Charlotte’s Time Warner Cable Arena.
