Late last year we reported that Michael Dorf would be putting on another all-star tribute concert at New York City’s famed Carnegie Hall on March 23. The initial lineup for that event—a tribute to the music of David Byrne and Talking Heads—has finally been revealed.

The Roots, O.A.R., Steve Earle, Perry Farrell, Rufus Wainright, Billy F Gibbons (of ZZ Top), Cibbo Matto with Nels Cline, Esperanza Spalding, Bebel Gilberto, Glen Hansard, Alexis Krauss (of Sleigh Bells), Todd Snider and Beth Orton have been confirmed for the show, which will also feature Antibalas as the house band. The artists are among the at least 20 performers that will take the stage at the tribute, with many more to be annuonced in the coming weeks.

Dorf’s past Carnegie Hall shows have included all-star tributes to Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, R.E.M., Elton John, Prince, The Who and The Rolling Stones. Last year Simon tribute saw appearances from Mike Gordon, Josh Ritter, Heart and more.

Tickets for The Music of David Byrne & Talking Heads are now on sale. 100% of the proceeds from the show will benefit music education programs for underprivileged youth.
