Bassist Tim Drummond, who is best known for his work with Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Crosby, Stills and Nash, passed away on January 10, according to Rolling Stone. The St. Louis County coroner’s office confirmed the news to the publication. No cause of death was given. Drummond was 74.

Drummond’s work with Neil Young includes playing bass on 1972’s Harvest as well as every studio album from 1974-1980. He also became an in-demand session bassist, collaborating with the likes of Bob Dylan, Don Henley, Miles Davis and many others. Drummond was a part of Dylan’s “gospel trilogy” as well, playing bass on Slow Train, Coming, Saved and Shot of Love. He also accompanied Dylan on his Slow Train Coming tour.
