The Black Keys have canceled their European tour in light of a shoulder injury suffered by drummer Patrick Carney. All dates up until March 10, which are all European shows, have been canceled. According to a press release, prior scheduled commitments and venue availability prevented the shows from being rescheduled. The band is slated to return to the stage April 2 in Brisbane, Australia.

Carney suffered the injury in January when he dislocated his shoulder after a wave hit him while vacationing in St. Barths. The drummer was hospitalized briefly and was treated for the injury. According to a statement from the band, “Patrick needs time to heal. We thank all of our fans for their support and look forward to getting back on the road.”
