All year at Terrapin Crossroads Phil Lesh will present a show honoring one year of the Grateful Dead’s existence, as he celebrates the 50th anniversary in his own particular way. Last night, the celebration began as Lesh along with Jeff Chimenti, Stu Allen, Ross James, Grahame Lesh, Ezra Lipp and Alex Koford paid tribute to 1968.

The first set appears to be drawn from the band’s February 14, 1968 show which included a “Morning Dew” opener as well as a first set “Dark Star,” “China Cat Sunflower” and a closing “Turn On Your Lovelight,” among others.

The second set featured Lesh and Friends running through the band’s 1968 effort Anthem of the Sun as well, including “That’s It For the Other One,” “New Potato Caboose,” “Born Cross-Eyed,” “Alligator” and “Caution,” all of which were played in order.

Lesh’s next show will be February 7 when he and a group of friends will honor 1970.

Here’s a look at the setlist as it appears in our Box Scores section:
