The National’s Scott Devendorf will host a Grateful Dead DJ Night at Threes Brewing in Brooklyn tonight. The bassist will be spinning from 7 to 11pm. Gent Treadly, who have toured with former Dead keyboardists Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten, will also perform. (The Dead-inspired group has also performed with Garth Hudson and Charles Neville, among others.)

Tonight’s event will not be Devendorf’s first foray into the Gratedul Dead universe. The bassist and his bandmates joined Bob Weir at TRI Studios for HeadCount’s “Bridge Sessions” concert in 2012, while Weir joined the group during their shows at Outside Lands in 2013 and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre last summer. As previously reported, The National have also enlisted a number of other indie rockers to help them with a Grateful Dead tribute album that is tentatively titled Dead Hot.
