Beck’s stellar Morning Phase ruled the night at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, taking home three awards including Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Jack White also took home a pair of awards for various projects as his “Lazaretto” won Best Rock Performance and The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records, Volume One took home Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package. Susan Archie and Dean Blackwood also shared in the award.

Other notable award winners include Chick Corea, who won two Grammys, first for Best Jazz Instrumental Album (Chick Corea Trio’s Trilogy) and his “Fingerprints” won Best Improved Jazz Solo. Weird Al Yankovic ruled the comedy genre, winning Best Comedy Album for Mandatory Fun while the late Johnny Winter won Best Blues Album for Step Back.

Angelique Kidjo won Best World Music Album for Eve and Ziggy Marley once again dominated the Best Reggae Album category, winning for Fly Rasta. Old Crow Medicine Show also took home Best Folk Album for Remedy while Aphex Twin’s return of Syro won Best Dance/Electronic Album.

St. Vincent surprised when she beat out Arcade Fire’s Reflektor and Jack White’s Lazaretto for Best Alternative Album. Tenacious D took home Best Metal Performance for “The Last in Line” and Chris Thile & Edgar Meyer won for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album with Bass & Mandolin.
