Bob Weir joined John Oates for a trio of tunes during his set at Weir’s own Sweetwater Music Hall. The Grateful Dead guitarist emerged for a take on The Band’s “Up on Cripple Creek” and “I Shall Be Released” before dipping into more familiar material with “Goin’ Down the Road Feeling Bad.” Watch a video of the collaboration above.
This is the second major appearance for Weir in recent weeks, as he was also a guest on John Mayer’s The Late Late Show, where he sat down for an interview and also performed “Truckin’” and “Althea” with the host. Watch that performance here.
