Phil Lesh celebrated Valentine’s Day with a three-set show at his own Terrapin Crossroads with a cast of friends that included Stanley Jordan, John Kadlecik, Jeff Chimenti and John Molo. The theme of the night was indeed love as the band kicked off the show with “Cosmic Charlie” before dipping into a pair of Beatles covers in “Strawberry Fields” and “Here Comes the Sun.” An appropriate instrumental version of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Goin’ On” followed.

The second set took on a full Valentine’s Day theme as the band started off with “Good Lovin’” before a run that included “How Sweet It Is,” “Not Fade Away,” “Turn On Your Lovelight” and the closing “Amazing Grace.” The third set closed the night with a slew of Grateful Dead classics including “Uncle John’s Band,” “Unbroken Chain,” “China Cat Sunflower” and more. The Beatles’ “Yesterday” closed the show.

Lesh & Friends return to the stage tonight to close out their three night run at Terrapin Crossroads.
