The Word have unveiled “Come By Here,” a new single from their forthcoming sophomore album Soul Food. The group—Robert Randoplh, John Medeski and the North Mississippi Allstars—will release the new record on May 5 via Vanguard Records.
As previously reported, Soul Food will be The Word’s first full length album since their 2001 self-titled debut. The release will feature 12 tracks, including collaborations with Amy Helm and Ruthie Foster.
The Word have also announced festival appearances at Wanee, Jazz Fest, Hangout Festival, All Good and Forecastle for this spring and summer.
