It appears as if Brandon Flowers will release his latest solo effort, The Desired Effect, on May 18. In an image posted to his website, The Killers frontman said that him and producer Ariel Rechtshaid have been collaborating in the studio and will release the final product in May.

Flowers spoke to NME last year about the album, saying that it is “definitely going to be different” than his 2010 debut Flamingo. “It’s nice to steer the ship and that’s what you’d think I’d do on my own album, but I’m letting Ariel take over every now and then. That’s led to some really exciting things and sounds I would never have used.”

Rechtshaid has previously worked with the likes of Cass McCombs, HAIM, Vampire Weekend, Madonna and more.
