A great lineup of New Orleans acts will come together to celebrate the life of musician Jamie Galloway and raise money for the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic at the Maple Leaf this Sunday, March 1. The event will feature performances by George Porter Jr. with Brint Anderson, Juice with Joe Krown, Jeff Watkins and Jake Eckert, Billy Iuso, Johnny Sketch & The Dirty Notes with Camile Baudoin, John “Papa” Gros, Dave Jordan and The NIA with Westbank Mike, Chamarucha (Flow Tribe side project), Single Atom Theory and more. Organizers plan to boil 1000 pounds of crawfish for the event, which will also include a raffle for two Southwest Airlines tickets to anywhere in the United States.

Galloway, who passed away in 2013, held down harmonica, percussion and vocals for the band Juice, and played with a number of other local bands. He was also a chef who worked at renowned New Orleans restaurants like Commander’s Palace and Jacque Imo’s.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale. All proceeds from the show will go the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic, a comprehensive clinic that provides access to affordable healthcare services for over 2500 of the city’s musicians and culture bearers. The organization was co-founded by Phish keyboardist Page McConnell’s father, Dr. Jack McConnell, in 1998.
