The 4th Annual Nolafunk Jazzfest Series will present two additional shows at the Republic New Orleans as a part of its late night lineup during the weekends of this year’s Jazz Fest.

On April 30, Down on the Bayou VI: A Benefit for the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic will take place featuring the likes of Dr. John, John Bell, Jimmy Herring, Jojo Hermann, Dave Schools and Sunny Ortiz. The show will also feature Duane Trucks, Marcia Ball, Col. Bruce Hampton, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Ivan Neville, Oteil Burbridge, Christine Ohlman, Big Chief Juan Pardo of the Yellow Pocahontas Tribe, John Gros, Alfred Roberts, Papa Mali, Eric Bolivar, Billy Iuso and Sherman Ewing. The James Brown Dance Party will also take place April 26 with The Nth Power opening up the night before the likes of Nigel Hall, Rob Mercurio, Pete Murano, Jennifer Hartswick, Cory Henry, Eric Bolivar, Adam Chase and Matthew Chase come together to play the music of James Brown. These shows join the likes of Bonerama Gets the Led Out!, Dead Feat and Voodoo Dead, among others, all of which will take place late night during both weekends of Jazz Fest.
