Gov’t Mule have confirmed the details of the next release in their 20th anniversary archival series. The band will drop Dub Side of the Mule, a compilation that was recorded during their 2006 New Year’s Eve run at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, on April 7 via Evil Teen Records.

The 2006 NYE show featured three hours of Gov’t Mule standards and cover, including a one-hour reggae/R&B set with special guest Toots Hibbert. The Toots & The Maytals frontman joined the group for tune like “Pressure Drop,” “54-46 What’s My Number,” “Reggae Got Soul” and Radiohead’s “Let Down.” Additionally, Dub Side of the Mule also features sepcial appearances from Greg Allman & Friends and Blues Traveler. As previously reported, Gov’t Mule are currently in the middle of their Sco-Mule tour with John Scofield. The band will also be releasing be released another archival compilation titled Stoned Side of the Moon Vol. 2 (featuring tracks from their 2009 Halloween tribute to the Rolling Stones) for Record Store Day on April 18.
