Umphrey’s McGee wrapped up their run with special guest Joshua Redman last night at the Fox Theatre as the sax player joined the band throughout their show in Oakland. In the first set, Redman added his sax to the ending run which included “Intentions Clear,” the newer “Similar Skin” and Safety in Numbers cut “Believe the Lie.” During the second set which included a lengthy “Divisions” and “Triple Wide” segment that featured the Raw Stewage cut “Upward,” Redman joined in later on for the closing “Der Bluten Kat” and “Glory.”

Before the encore of “Ringo,” which also featured Redman, Joel Cummins announced that the band will return to High Sierra Music Festival following their shows in Colorado at Red Rocks and the Boulder Theater. Cummins had previously stated that the group’s July 4th show would not be in the state of Colorado.

Next up for Umphrey’s is a show tonight in Reno, NV as their west coast swing continues.
