The inaugural Asbury Park Music in Film Festival will come to Asbury Park, NJ on April 10-12. The event will be headlined by Metallica bassisyt Robert Trujillo’s film JACO, which tells the story of legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius. The festival will also feature screenings from local, national and international filmmakers, as well as celebrated music films like Salad Days, A Band Called Death, Take Me To The River and Made In Japan.

In addition to the films, the festival will also include a number of musical performances. Asbury Park’s famed Stone Pony will host Robby Krieger’s “Doors 50” show on April 10, while Bernie Worrell will host a “Funk That Bass” superjam on April 11. The latter show, which is set to take place following the screening of JACO, will also feature Corey Glover (Living Color), Bernard Fowler (Chic/Rolling Stones), William Bell (Stax Records), JT Bowen (Clarence Clemons and The Red Bank Rockers), Nicole Atkins, Dean Ween (Ween) and musical director Marc Ribler.
