Widespread Panic got some help from their old friends Carrot Top and Karl Denson during last night’s show at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Denson took the stage toward the end of the second set for “Angels on High” before Carrot Top joined the fray on percussion for the “Life During Wartime” that closed out the second set. Denson then returned for encore takes on “Pickin’ Up the Pieces” and “Vampire Blues,” while Carrot Top reappeared for the “Chainsaw City” that wrapped up the show.

Last night’s performance marked Carrot Top’s 20th sit in with Widespread Panic since he first joined the band on stage in 1997. The comedian’s five most recent appearances have taken place in Vegas, where has a regular gig at the Luxor.
