Phil Lesh continued his celebration of the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary with a show honoring the band’s 1972 campaign by recreating a show that occurred almost 43 years ago to the day in March 26, 1972 at the Academy of Music in New York.

Joining Lesh was his son Grahame, Stu Allen, Jeff Chimenti, Ezra Lipp and Ross James for the show that included takes on “Greatest Story Ever Told,” “Jack Straw,” “Loser,” “Playin’ in the Band,” “Truckin,” “The Stranger (Two Souls In Communion)” and more.

Lesh will return to the stage tonight at Terrapin Crossroads for a bonus show honoring the same year.
