Bill Kreutzmann has confirmed a last minute show. The Grateful Dead drummer will offer a “A Night of Voodoo” at Petaluma, CA’s Mystic Theater this Wednesday, April 8. For this performance, Kreutzmann’s band will consist of guitarist Steve Kimock, Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, The Dead/Furthur/RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and ALO guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz. Kreutzmann will play with a similar ensemble this spring during Jazz Fest.

In consideration of local residents, tickets will be available at the venue box office with no service charge beginning at 4:20pm today. They will go on sale to the general public at 10am PT.

The performance was originally hinted at via Kreutzmann’s twitter. According to the drummer’s manager, “he felt particularly inspired after the recent Billy & the Kids shows on the East Coast and he couldn’t wait until the 4/20 Billy & the Kids show in Denver—or Red Rocks with the Disco Biscuits—to play music again, so he assembled a one-time-only lineup, that’s very similar to the Voodoo Dead lineup that will debut with three sold-out shows in New Orleans during Jazz Fest.”
