John Scofield and Taj Mahal will team up for a pair of shows celebrating the music of Muddy Waters later this month. The gig will take place at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theatre in New York City on April 24 and 25. Tickets for the performances are available here.

The NYC shows will take place right after Scofield returns from a European tour with pianist Jon Cleary. The guitarist will return to Europe a few days after the Muddy Water tributes, and he will make his way to Japan for a run with the UBERJAM Band in May. Scofield will also play a few stateside gigs in June—including dates with John Scofield-John Medeski Quartet, MSMW and a duo gig with Medeski—before settling into New York City for a five night run at Birdland in July.
