My Morning Jacket played their new album The Waterfall in its entirety during a pair of shows in their hometown of Louisville, KY on April 6 and 7. Both of the rehearsal gigs took place at Headliner’s—their first at the club since 2003—and featured an audience comprised of friends, family and 60 lucky members of the band’s fan club.

In addition to the new tracks, each night also saw the band work through an encore of older tunes. Monday’s encore included the Jim James solo track “Bermuda Highway,” Carl Broemel’s “Carried Away,” MMJ’s own “Master Plan” and the New Basement Tapes offering “Down On The Bottom,” Tuesday’s show featured an encore of the MMJ oldies “Wonderful,” “Old September Blues,” “Steam Engine” and “Honest Man.”

My Morning Jacket will kick off their full tour at the Georgia Theatre in Athens on May 15. Their new album The Waterfall will be available on May 4.
