Umphrey’s McGee and Lettuce closed out their joint “Making Lemonade” event, formerly known as The Fort, last night in St. Augustine. While the first night didn’t feature any collaborations between the two, the finale saw the two collaborate on a special cover.

During Umphrey’s second set, the band welcomed out the Lettuce horns, Jesus Coomes and Nigel Hall for a jam of Nate Dogg’s “I Got Love.” Coomes held down the vocals, while Hall joined Joel Cummins on keys.

The performance marks the first time the band has played the tune since Summer Camp 2013 where they also played it with Mad Dog’s Filthy Little Secret Horns.

Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch also sat in with The Omega Moos during the late night show on Friday night. Deitch replaced Kris Myers for a take on Prince’s “Controversy.” Additional covers from the band, which includes Umphrey’s McGee’s Brendan Bayliss, Ryan Stasik and Kris Myers along with The New Deal’s Jamie Shields, included Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” Devo’s “Whip It,” Duran Duran’s “Girls on Film,” A-ha’s “Take on Me,” Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” and more.

Next up for Umphrey’s is a show at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, AR on April 15. Following the show last night, the band also confirmed they will be returning to Florida in August, visiting Orlando on August 21, Miami Beach on August 22 and St. Petersburg on August 23.
