Bob Weir and Mark Karan made a surprise appearance during last night’s Jackie Greene show at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA. Weir took the stage at the end of the set when he came out for “Sugaree,” while Karan joined the fray for second set versions of “Shaken,” “So Hard to Find My Way” and “Tell Me Mama, Tell Me Right.” The show also featured a sit in from Ben Jernigan, who joined Greene and his band for “Animal” and “Gone Wanderin’.”

Last night’s sit in marked one of Bob Weir’s few public appearances since RatDog cancelled their tour in the middle of last summer. His next scheduled performance will take place on May 14, when he teams up with a stellar lineup of musicians for the Dear Jerry tribute to Jerry Garcia at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.
