The Disco Biscuits debuted a cover of JJ Cale’s “After Midnight” during the second set of last night’s show at the Ogden Theatre in Denver. The performance, which marked the first night of the band’s Bisco Inferno Colorado run, also featured the reworked Perfume version of “7-11,” as well a dyslexic take on “Above the Waves” that sandwiched the “After Midnight” cover and an inverted “Confrontation.”

The “After Midnight” cover was a nod to Jerry Garcia, as the band played in style that was reminiscent of Jerry Garcia Band’s version of the tunes. Interestingly, the Disco Biscuits will be joined by Grateful Dead drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart when they perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre tomorrow night.
