LiveNation has announced the creation of The Fillmore Philadelphia, a new music venue for the City of Brotherly Love. The 2,500 capacity space is set to open in the fall, and will be located in the remodeled, 125-year-old Ajax Metal Company building in the city’s Fishtown neighborhood. According to LiveNation, the venue will showcase state-of-the-art production, vintage poster art and more.

Speaking about the The Fillmore Philadelphia, Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter said, “Philadelphia is a city with a proud musical heritage, and we could not be more excited that The Fillmore will join the host of great live music venues that this city has to offer…What’s more, this new attraction will bring thousands of people to the Delaware River Waterfront, which is in the midst of a transformation and poised to become one of America’s most dynamic, exciting urban waterfronts.”

President of Live Nation’s House of Blues Entertainment Division Ron Bension said, “The Fillmore Philadelphia will feature the best sound system of any club its size, unparalleled sightlines, and remarkable food and beverage, making it more than a place for a concert. It will be a true experience.”

In addition to top quality production, The Fillmore Philadelphia will feature small batch liquors, local and national craft beers, an extensive wine selection and a full food menu. The space will also include a “club within a club” called The Foundry, a smaller, 450-capacity room that will host performances by singer-songwriters, local acts, DJs and smaller bands.
