Eric Clapton was joined by a few guests as he celebrated his 70th birthday with a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The legendary guitarist got some help from John Mayer on “Pretending” early in the set, while Jimmie Vaughan made an appearance on the Bo Diddley cover “Before You Accuse Me.” Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks—who were both once members of Clapton’s backing band—then came out for “Let It Rain.” All four of the night’s guests then returned for an encore rendition of Joe Cocker’s “High Time We Went.”

Clapton will continue his 70th birthday celebration tomorrow night with another performance at Madison Square Garden.
