A new non-profit music venue called National Sawdust is slated to open its doors in Brooklyn on October 1. Formerly known as Original Music Workshop, the Williamsburg venue will featuring opening concerts from John Zorn, Terry Riley, Nico Muhly, Roomful of Teeth, The National’s Bryce Dessner and more.

The programming at National Sawdust will be artist-led, with curation from Dessner and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Perry, among many others. There will also be residencies Wilco percussionist Glenn Kotche, mezzo soprano Alicia Hall Moran, composer Gity Razazz and Trinidadian poet Roger Bonair Agard, as well as Brooklyn Rider, Givers and more.

National Sawdust will be located at the corner of Wythe Ave. and North 6th Street. More information of the upcoming venue and its programming can be found here.
