Earlier this year Wilco caused some controversy when they cancelled their show at Indianapolis’ Murat Theatre as a response to the Indiana’s new Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a law that the band and many others considered discriminatory. However, the group later reinstated the show after a few changes were made to the bill.

In the wake of all this, Wilco finally made their appearance at The Murat last night. The group treated fans to a 30-song set that featured plenty of favorites like “Via Chicago,” “Heavy Metal Drummer.” “Impossible Germany,” “Misunderstood,,” and “A Shot in the Arm.”

More importantly, the band proved that they are true to their convictions by donating half of the proceeds from the show to the Indiana Youth Group, a non-profit that provides assistance to LGBTQ youths in the state. As pointed out by JamBase, the Indiana Youth Group made note of this fact yesterday with a tweet showcasing the booth that they had set up at the show.
