Chevy Metal, the classic rock cover band project from Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, welcomed out some special guests yesterday during their gig at the Conejo Valley Days in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Hawkins (decked out in a Lieutenant shirt, the side-project of Foos bassist Nate Mendel) got some help from some of his Foo Fighters bandmates as Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflet and Rami Jaffe joined the band for most of the set. Among the tunes played were “My Sharona,” “Let There Be Rock,” “Summer of ’69,” “School’s Out” and Queen’s “Under Pressure.”

Grohl and the Foos will return to the road later this week when they headline the Hangout Festival.
