My Morning Jacket debuted a cover of the Willie Nelson-penned tune “Funny How Time Slips Away” at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville, TN on Saturday night. The song, which was first recorded by Billy Walker in 1961, made its appearance during the encore, despite being absent from the band’s planned setlist.

Saturday night’s show also featured every track from the band’s new album The Waterfall, as well as some choice oldies like The Tennessee Fire’s “The Dark” and At Dawn’s “Bermuda Highway” and “X-Mas Curtain”, plus a jammed out take on “Steam Engine.”

My Morning Jacket will continue their tour this coming Saturday when they headline the May edition of Boston Calling.
