As Umphrey’s McGee’s Summer Camp came to a close, the band had two more sets to give and filled them with a variety of their heaviest hitters along with a special guest in the first set as The New Deal’s Jamie Shields came out to join Joel Cummins on keys for a lengthy “Higgins” jam.

Of course, Shields along with UM members Brendan Bayliss, Ryan Stasik and Kris Myers make up cover band Omega Moos.

Other highlights from the Umphrey’s finale included Andy Farag reprising his role as Cousin Ely to lead the band on “Regulate.” Umphrey’s also continued adding improv to “Hindsight,” which served as the penultimate tune of the second set. The band wrapped things up with a “Glory” that led into the end of “Divisions” which featured an “A Love Supreme” jam to which Ryan Stasik commented, “This jam is for Jesus.”

Next up for UM is a set at the CounterPoint Music Festival.
