Two of B.B. King’s daughters are alleging that the legendary bluesman was murdered. According to the Associated Press, Patty King and Karen Williams have accused King’s business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson of poisoning their father in the months leading up to his May 14 death in Las Vegas.

In court documents released to the AP, Patty King claims that she saw Toney administer two drops of an unknown substance on her father’s tongue on a number of evenings in the months before his death, though she was never informed of its contents. Patty King and Williams also claim they were denied access to their father in the weeks before he died.

Clark County coroner John Fudenberg, who performed on autopsy on King’s body this past Sunday, has said that there is currently no evidence to support the murder allegations, and Las Vegas police Lt. Ray Seiber told the AP that no active homicide investigation is currently underway. Results from the autopsy will be revealed in six to eight weeks.

A week before King’s death, a Las Vegas judge threw out Williams’ request to take over her father’s power of attorney from Toney, who had held the responsibility for many years. Toney is also named as executor of King’s estate, which could be worth ten of millions of dollars.
