Neil Young and Promise of the Real will release their new album The Monsanto Years on June 29 via Reprise Records.The LP finds the legendary singer-songwriter teaming up with Promise of the Real, which features Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah Nelson, as well as Anthony Logerfo, Corey McCormick and Tato Melgar.

The guitar-centric album will be available in a number of formats, including CD+ DVD package, vinyl LP, iTunes download and PonoMusic high-resolution audio. The artists have also unveiled a music video for the track “A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Show” via Democracy Now.

As previously reported, Young and POTR will support The Monsanto Years with a tour this summer. The outing is set to kick off at Summeriest in Milwaukee on July 5 before the collaboration makes its way across the United States and Canada, with two stops scheduled for Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater on July 8 and 9. Additionally, Band of Horses will play an opening set during a number of their stops.
