Sirius XM is expected to announce that they will live-broadcast all three of the Chicago Fare Thee Well shows on their Grateful Dead channel. The Wall Street Journal reports that the broadcasts will be bookended by pre and post-show commentary from Tales From The Golden Road hosts David Gans and Gary Lambert, though other guests like Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux will also appear.

Sirius XM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein told WSJ, “Peter Shapiro and I started talking about broadcasting the Fare Thee Well concerts right after they were announced… Because of our long-time, ongoing relationship with the band, we’re able to broadcast these special and coveted concerts for our subscribers.”

WSJ also reports that the Grateful Dead channel will air each of the Fare Thee Well shows again on the following day, and then once more over Labor Day weekend.

The Sirius XM broadcast offers fans yet another opportunity to experience the core four’s Fare Thee Well shows live, as webcasts and movie theater simulcasts have already been announced.
