Neil Young is not happy that Donald Trump played his 1989 hit “Rockin’ in the Free World” when he announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination today. Young’s longtime manager Elliot Roberts issued a statement to Mother Jones this afternoon that reads:

Donald Trump’s use of “Rockin’ in the Free World” was not authorized. Mr. Young is a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders.

While the song has been used by politicians and people of all political leanings—most notably after the fall of the Soviet Union—the tune’s lyrics are critical of right wing policies and explicitly reference Republican President George H.W. Bush’s “thousand points of light” speech.

In related news, it looks like Young and Phish drummer Jon Fishman see eye-to-eye when it comes to 2016 presidential candidates.
