HeadCount, a non-partisan non-profit that promotes democratic participation in the music community, will auction off a guitar that has been signed by the core four surviving the members of the Grateful Dead. The D’Angelico guitar – signed by Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir – will be sold via silent auction at the Santa Clara and Chicago Fare Thee Well shows. All proceeds from the guitar will go benefit seventeen non-profit organizations selected by the Grateful Dead.

The auctions will be located at Participation Row, a dedicated area at each concert for fans to interact with the band-selected charities. Participation Row will be located at Section 101 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, and near Section 117 at Soldier Field in Chicago. The person with the highest big in Santa Clara will have their offer used as the starting bid in Chicago, and they will be given a chance to go head-to-head with whoever posts the highest bid there. Additionally, a signed Remo drumhead will also be auctioned to benefit the Participation Row charities.
