An extremely rare test pressing of Bob Dylan’s 1975 masterpiece Blood on the Tracks is now up for sale via Amoeba Music. The West Coast record store chain has listed a $12,000 price for the special edition of the classic album, which is one of only five existing copies.
Rolling Stone reports that this particular test pressing—dubbed the “New York” version—is unique in that it includes alternate renditions of “Tangled Up In Blue,” “Idiot Wind,” “You’re a Big Girl,” “Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts” and “If You See Her, Say Hello.” Those takes were all recorded in New York City, though Dylan later re-recorded them in Minnesota with local musicians.
