Billy Corgan unveiled the new Smashing Pumpkins lineup last night at the band’s tour opener with Marilyn Manson at Concord Pavilion in California. Rejoining the band was drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, who made his first appearance with the band since 2008. Bassist Jack Bates also made his live debut with the group.

Throughout the band’s 18-song set, they leaned on a slew of old material, delivering five cuts from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness including “Bullet with Butterfly Wings,” “Tonight, Tonight,” Zero,” “1979” and “Thru the Eyes of Ruby.” They also rolled through a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” which they recorded on their 1994 effort Pisces Iscariot.

Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson’s tour continues tomorrow night in Los Angeles.
