Keith Richards is slated to unveil his new album Crosseyed Heart on September 18 via Republic Records. The release will be the Rolling Stones guitarists third solo album and his first in over 20 years.

The 15-track album album touches on a variety of musical styles such as reggae, country, rock and blues. Richards wrote or co-wrote most of the tracks on Crosseyed Heart, including many with co-producer and drummer Steve Jordan.

The record’s first single—“Trouble”—will drop on July 17. The tune features Richards on electrics and acoustic guitars, bass and vocals, and finds him supported by Jordan, guitarist Waddy Wachtel and backup vocalist Bernard Fowler.

Other artists on the record are Dumpstaphunk keyboardist Ivan Neville and background singer Sarah Dash. Richards also collaborated with a number of top notch musicians for individual tracks, including “Illusion” (co-written and sung with Norah Jones), “Lovers Plea” (Spooner Oldham on keys), Robbed Blind (Larry Campbell on pedal steel), “Nothing on Me” (Aaron Neville on background vocals) and “Amnesia” and “Blues In The Morning” (the late Bobby Keys on sax).

Richards released his first solo album Talk Is Cheap in 1988, while his last, Main Offender, was released in 1992. He also released a live solo album titled Live at the Hollywood Palladium, December 15, 1988.
