Fresh off their appearance at Fare Thee Well, the Core Four members of the Grateful Dead will all appear at the 2015 Lockn’ Music Festival. Bob Weir and Mickey are the latest additions to the roster of performers, joining Phil and Bill Kreutzmann on the bill. Weir will appear on Saturday, September 12 as the Featured Guest Of The Day, sitting in with some of the other artists who will perform over the course of the day. Hart will deliver a “deep rhythm experience” at Lockn’s forest stage over two nights, tuning The Woods with sound, lights, and vibrations for unprecedented multi-sensory sets. The drummer also will perform a third evening on the main stage with EOTO.

Weir and Hart’s longtime bandmates in the Grateful Dead are already confirmed for the event. Phil Lesh will appear on Friday and Saturday with two separate versions of Phil & Friends (His Saturday’s friends include Carlos Santana, Warren Haynes and Barry Sless while on Friday the lineup features Chris Robinson, Neal Casal and Eric Krasno). Bill Kreutzmann, will perform with Billy & The Kids on Thursday, with special guests John Popper and Dominic Lalli. Then on Saturday Kreutzmann will join Jorma & Jack Celebrating 50 Years Of Jefferson Airplane (with Rachael Price, GE Smith, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Justin Guip, Jeff Pehrson and others).

Festivval co-founder/co-promoter (and Relix publisher) Peter Shapiro notes that “all four of the guys are coming to do their own thing.” However he adds, “Just the fact that all four of them will be there together with us after those special ‘Fare Thee Well’ shows means something to our extended Grateful Dead family. I’m looking forward to seeing Mickey in the forest and with EOTO, Billy with the Jack and Jorma’s Jefferson Airplane celebration and Billy and the Kids, and the two special versions of Phil Lesh and Friends. I’ll also be as thrilled as everyone to discover what Bobby has planned as well.”
