Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane were arrested on August 8 by New York State Police for the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

According to a report, the arrest resulted from a traffic stop on State Route 17 in the Town of Windsor. During the stop an odor of marijuana was detected and a search was conducted. Chimenti and Lane were passengers in the vehicle. They were found to unlawfully possess a total of approximately 17 grams of marijuana. Chimenti and Lane were given tickets returnable to the Town of Windsor Court on August 18, 2015.

Chimenti is scheduled to participate in the upcoming Dead & Company featuring John Mayer, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Oteil Burbridge. Lane is a founding member of Golden Gate Wingmen (which also includes Chimenti) and also performs as a part of Bob Weir and RatDog.
