Old friends and bluegrass legends Del McCoury and David Grisman have confirmed another round of collaborative performances. Del & Dawg will headline clubs and theaters throughout the country, beginning with an appearance a Syracuse, NY’s Palace Theatre Syracuse on October 6. As of press time, the tour will continue into the spring, though Grisman and McCoury will make time for other commitments between their joint performances.

McCoury and Grisman met at the first show McCoury played on banjo with Bill Monroe at New York University in Greenwich Village during the spring of 1963. They played their first gig together at Troy, NY’s Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute three years later and even both celebrated the arrival of first-born sons, Monroe Grisman and Ronnie McCoury, within a month of each other. The string masters have toured together more regularly in recent years.
