The Who’s 50th anniversary tour will have to wait as the band confirmed today that they will be postponing the rest of their North American tour dates after Roger Daltrey was diagnosed with viral Meningitis.

“We are very sorry to disappoint our fans in this way,” Daltrey said in a statement. “For the last four weeks, I have been in and out of the hospital and have been diagnosed with viral Meningitis. I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better but I am going to need a considerable time to recover. The doctors tell me I will make a complete recovery, but that I should not do any touring this year.”

All dates beginning September 14 in San Diego, CA and stretching to December 13 in Oakland, CA have been postponed. Guitarist Pete Townshend also said the group is aiming to reschedule dates for Spring 2016.
