The inaugural NyamJam Festival will be held at Oracabessa Bay’s GoldenEye in St. Mary, Jamaica on November 13-14.

The focus of the festival, which takes its name from the Patois word for snack, nyam, is to showcase the best of Jamaican culture, specifically the food and music of the island country.

Founder of Island Records, Chris Blackwell, will put on the event, which will feature renowned chefs like Mario Batali and April Bloomfield along with local chefs and restaurants.

As for the Jam portion of the fest, slated to perform are Angelique Kidjo and Ernest Ranglin, with more artists to be announced.
