In a new interview with OffBeat Magazine, Chris Robinson discussed a new Brotherhood album, plans to record shows with Betty Cantor-Jackson, and his ongoing love of the Grateful Dead.

Robinson said that Cantor-Jackson, the legendary Grateful Dead recorder and archivist, will join his band for some upcoming shows in the Southeast. Cantor-Jackson has helped the Brotherhood release two albums so far, the most recent being Betty’s Blends Volume 2: Best of the West.

The former Black Crowes vocalist also revealed plans for a new studio album to be recorded at Stinson Beach near San Francisco in January, along with reaffirming his love of the Grateful Dead and how the CRB try to embrace the Dead’s ideals, saying “The ethos of the Grateful Dead, at its heart, is still the seed of this Bohemian culture. The idea that, through art and culture, you can do better things with your environment than what’s been given to you.”
