Guitar prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and his band, Lions on the Moon, have released their self-titled debut album produced by Terry Manning.

The group consists of 12-year-old Niederauer and three others, all aged 13-15: Taz’s brother Dylan Niederauer on bass and vocals, Nick Winegardner on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, and Henry Thomas on drums. The group came together with the help of Col. Bruce Hampton, who first suggested that Nick and Taz team up and later recommended that Dylan join as well.

Brandon Niederauer first appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show at 10 and has gone on to play with countless artists like The Meters, The Allman Brothers, George Clinton, Soulive and more. He will be appearing in the musical version of School of Rock starting in December.
