Famed rock photographer Jay Blakesberg will chronicle the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary celebration in a new book dubbed Fare Thee Well: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead due out December 1 via Rock Out Books.

The 208 pages will feature 305 images from the five shows that saw Trey Anastasio, Jeff Chimenti and Bruce Hornsby team with the surviving members of the Grateful Dead. There are also two essays written by Gary Lambert, co-host of SiriusXM’s Tales From the Golden Road as well as a foreword by Bill Walton and afterword from Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux.

“It was a time and space that I will never forget. I am a proud and loyal Deadhead,” Bill Walton writes in the book’s foreword. “This book serves to nurture and activate our finely tuned senses and bring the Fare Thee Well celebration back to life.”
